We’ve all seen the headlines: “AI is taking over,” “Will AI replace your job?” and the classic — “Adapt or die.”

But here’s what we’re actually doing at North Shore Digital: we’re exploring AI in a grounded, thoughtful way to make our work better — not to replace it.

There’s a lot of noise out there. Tools promising to do your job in one click, endless browser tabs filled with shiny demos. But what we care about is how this stuff can actually improve our services.

So this summer, we launched a team-wide initiative to dig into AI by department. That means each team — SEO, Ads, Analytics, Web, and Account Management — is choosing a practical problem and exploring whether AI can help solve it.

This is how we are engaged with the AI revolution at North Shore Digital… Something that more and more of our clients are asking us about – ‘what are you doing with AI to improve your marketing?’

What Kind of Projects Are We Talking About?

Here’s a flavour of the ideas currently in development (without giving too much away):

  • Can we automate monthly reports so they’re easier to understand and more valuable to clients?
  • Can we build smarter keyword lists or ad copy faster?
  • Can we generate blog ideas based on what’s already ranking on your website?
  • Could an AI agent help you reply to leads faster or send appointment reminders?
  • Can we better analyze brand identity from a website or logo and use that to inform design direction?

These aren’t theoretical. They’re things we do every day. If AI can save 30 minutes here or an hour there — we get more time to think creatively, be proactive, and focus on strategy.

Crunch & Learn: Our Monthly AI Check-In

Once a month, we host what we host a “Crunch & Learn” session. The goal?
Everyone shares progress, asks questions, and shows off what’s working (or not).

It’s a bit like a show-and-tell for adults.

These sessions used to be focused on individual departments or latest trends in marketing but from now on, they will be AI Crunch & Learns as this is what we feel is necessary as AI reshapes our industry and work life.
